APKLAN — the Rzeszów developer behind over two decades of the local housing market
Active for more than three decades and based on Kreczmera Street in Rzeszów's Śródmieście district, APKLAN is one of the most recognisable developers in the Podkarpacie region. Its portfolio — from intimate tenement houses to high-rises with a retail and service component — maps out how the residential part of Rzeszów has grown over the past quarter-century.
The company gives 1991 as the start of its activity, and delivered its first strictly development project in 2001 on Wyspiańskiego Street — a complex of two buildings with 15 apartments each. Since then the developer has consistently built within the city and its immediate surroundings, focusing on the multi-family segment with an accompanying commercial function.
Portfolio and scale
The scale of its operations is illustrated by the portfolio of completed developments published by the company. Among the largest are Osiedle Grabskiego (500 flats delivered in 3- and 7-storey buildings, with retail and service units and a kindergarten within the estate) and Bulwary Park — 17–18-storey buildings with a retail and service component and more than 300 apartments. The record also includes Osiedle Karoliny (a complex of five buildings on Bł. Karoliny Street), Witolda Park (three buildings) and Powstańców Warszawy 18 — a building with a swimming pool and a rooftop terrace and playground, completed in 2014.
Combining functions
A hallmark of APKLAN is the combining of a residential function with commercial and public ones. Its portfolio includes not only multi-family buildings but also retail, service and office centres in the centre of Rzeszów, standalone commercial buildings and a kindergarten building. According to figures provided by the company, over its entire history more than two thousand residential units have been completed, and its tally of delivered developments stands at close to forty projects.
Today APKLAN remains active on several fronts at once — from terraced housing and premium homes, through multi-family estates, to the tallest residential building under construction in Rzeszów. It is the profile of a developer that over more than three decades tied its brand to a single city and grew together with its market.
