Novum apartments and a hospital in Zielona Góra — ATP Kraków’s Polish projects

ATP's Kraków office is associated with major projects in Germany and Austria. But it also holds a Polish portfolio — from residential to healthcare architecture — just heavily scattered across the web.

Beyond its major projects in the DACH region, ATP's Kraków office holds a Polish portfolio — from the Apartamenty Novum complex to an award-winning hospital design.

ATP Kraków (ATP Asymetria, formerly IMB Asymetria) is best known today for its work abroad — as chief architect of Westfield Hamburg. But the studio also has a Polish portfolio that is far less visible in the domestic media landscape, despite spanning several demanding typologies.

Apartamenty Novum on Rakowicka

The flagship residential project in Kraków is Apartamenty Novum — a complex of four buildings of varying scale, ranging from four to nine storeys above ground. Their modernist language sits comfortably with the surroundings, the massing settling quietly into the urban fabric. The complex occupies a block at the junction of Rakowicka and Wita Stwosza streets; the final phase was scheduled for completion by the end of the second quarter of 2024.

Beyond residential

ATP Kraków's portfolio extends beyond residential work. The studio received a commendation in the architectural competition for the University Hospital in Zielona Góra — healthcare architecture is one of the most demanding typologies, where function, technology and sanitary rigour outweigh striking gestures. It shows the breadth of a practice equally capable of designing a large shopping centre, an apartment complex and a hospital.

For us at Method Press, ATP Kraków is a textbook case of scattered visibility: strong projects living apart — some on the English-language atp.ag, some on the studio's archived Polish site. Pulling this into one coherent portfolio narrative is exactly the kind of front-office work that turns scattered achievements into a recognisable brand.
