A hybrid programme for visualisers in the AI era — VizAcademy 2.0 launches

Not an 'AI course', but 3D craft and AI in one — because today's job market rewards people who combine the two, not pure prompt operators or generalists unfamiliar with new tools.

The visualisation job market has just shifted — and a good part of the industry hasn't noticed yet. Studios no longer look for a 'prompt operator' who can generate a nice image without understanding geometry, nor a 'pure 3D generalist' who ignores AI. They're looking for someone who combines both. VizAcademy is launching version 2.0: a programme that teaches AI not instead of craft, but on top of it.

A hybrid, not an 'AI course'

The programme runs two tracks at once. The first covers production fundamentals: 3ds Max, Corona and V-Ray — the craft that professional visualisation is built on and one that doesn't age at the pace of generative models. It gives control over scene, light, materials and framing. The second is the AI-native track: working with image and video models as a real part of the production process, not a curiosity.

Both tracks are tied together by one tool — VizMaker, the ecosystem's proprietary AI renderer — and by a layer usually missing from purely technical courses: the business side. How to price a frame, how to talk to a client, how to turn one-off jobs into an ongoing collaboration. In a profession where most people work freelance or in small studios, this layer often decides whether the skill actually pays the bills.

A certificate and infrastructure that can't be copied in a week

The programme rests on infrastructure that's hard to fake. VizAcademy holds Autodesk ATC — Authorized Training Center — status, which in practice means an official certificate recognised on the market, legal, full software during the course, and discounts on Chaos tools (V-Ray, Corona, Enscape). For a student, that's the difference between 'I watched a tutorial' and documented preparation recognised by employers.

Then there is the teaching staff and reach. Instructors bring more than 13 years of production experience — they teach as people who deliver commercial projects themselves, not just lecture on theory. Around 75% of graduates start from scratch, and the programme reaches Poland, Germany and the UK, making it one of the more widely operating visualisation schools in this part of Europe.

What '2.0' actually means

'AI doesn't change that — it only speeds up the work and opens up even greater possibilities.' — Wojciech Jurkowski, co-founder of VizAcademy and VizMaker.

The point of version 2.0 comes down to a single curriculum decision: instead of chasing every new release, the programme teaches what lasts — craft, composition, light, client conversations — and shows how to plug AI into that as an accelerator, not a crutch. That's the difference between someone who operates a tool and depends on its current version, and someone who runs a project and picks tools to fit the goal. The market replaces the former with every model change; the latter stays.
