Lewandowski’s entire ‘Paris’ district — City of Polish Champions designed by Mąka Sojka

This is not a single development but an entire district designed from scratch — with a linear park in place of a street, and Olympic medallists among the first residents. The architecture is by the Warsaw studio Mąka Sojka.

in the 'Paryż' district, designed from scratch — a Profbud development with Robert Lewandowski that has entered a key phase with its building permit secured.

Mąka Sojka Architekci — a Warsaw studio run by Maciej Mąka and Radosław Sojka — is behind one of the most media-visible residential projects of recent months: 'Miasto Polskich Mistrzów Olimpijskich'. It is a Grupa Profbud development in which Robert Lewandowski is a shareholder and content partner, being built in the Lesznowola municipality near Warsaw, on Puławska Street, right at the border of Ursynów.

Not an estate, but a district

The project's ambition lies not in the scale of a single building but of an entire district. The town is ultimately to be divided into four quarters — three of them districts named after Olympic host cities: 'Paryż', 'Mediolan' and 'Los Angeles', with a sports centre planned for the fourth. The 'Paryż' district is being built first, subtly referencing the Champs-Élysées: buildings rise on both sides of a linear park that serves as the main public space. In total, the scheme is planned to comprise more than 2,200 flats.

Medallists among the first residents

The development's marketing centres on its Olympic narrative. In the first building of the 'Paryż' district, flats will be handed over to gold and silver medallists from the Paris 2024 Games — Aleksandra Mirosław, Julia Szeremeta, Klaudia Zwolińska and Daria Pikulik. The first of the district's eight buildings has recently reached shell-and-core stage, with completion scheduled for Q4 2026.

The architect in the development's shadow

In media coverage of Miasto Polskich Mistrzów, all the attention goes to the developer and the sportsman's name — the architecture's author is often no more than a mention. It is a familiar tension: the studio designing an entire district stays in the shadow of the development's marketing. Reclaiming that narrative — showing who designed the place and how — is a real asset for the practice, and for us at Method Press one of the more interesting threads in the architect–developer relationship. Mąka Sojka, for that matter, has plenty to say in its own right — such as its SARP-award-winning Granaria in Gdańsk (we cover it separately).
