Glass that answers the needs of the future. The Pilkington brand celebrated its 200th anniversary at WinDoGlass Innovation
At the WinDoGlass Innovation fair, held on 25–26 September 2026 in Kielce, the Pilkington brand celebrated its 200th anniversary. The Pilkington IGP team presented the latest solutions from the HomeComfort line, including technologies that support light control, protect interiors from excessive heat gain and actively heat rooms.
The WinDoGlass Innovation fair brought together representatives of the window and door industry, architects, designers, and manufacturers and suppliers of solutions for modern construction. This year the Pilkington brand's presence had a particular character — the event was an opportunity to celebrate two centuries of history together, and to show the directions in which contemporary glass technologies are developing.

The Pilkington brand was founded in 1826 in the United Kingdom. Today, as part of the global NSG Group, it has spent two centuries developing solutions used in architecture and construction. At the fair, however, the jubilee was not solely an occasion to look back. The Pilkington IGP presentation focused above all on the future of comfort and on the possibilities that modern glazing offers to users of homes, offices and other spaces.

HomeComfort – technologies designed with everyday comfort in mind
The centrepiece of the presentation was the HomeComfort line from the Pilkington IGP range. It comprises solutions designed to improve indoor conditions and to adapt them better to the changing needs of users.
Visitors could see LuxComfort glazing, which allows precise control over the amount of light reaching interiors, and HeatComfort glazing, designed to heat rooms actively. The products on display showed that contemporary glazing can serve far more purposes than simply providing daylight and a view outside. Well-chosen glass solutions can influence visual and thermal comfort, and support more efficient use of the natural conditions around a building.

DynamicComfort – light and privacy within easy reach
One of the technologies presented at the stand was DynamicComfort. Its main purpose is to adapt the properties of the glazing to external conditions and to the seasonal needs of users. In summer the solution limits the amount of solar radiation reaching the interior, helping to protect rooms from excessive heat gain. In winter the glazing can become clearer, providing greater access to daylight.
It is precisely this variability of the glazing's properties across the seasons that forms the central idea behind DynamicComfort. The solution supports user comfort by helping to limit the effect of intense sunlight in the warmer months and to make better use of natural light in autumn and winter.
DynamicComfort is therefore part of a wider development of technologies that allow interior conditions to be managed more deliberately. Glass becomes an element that responds actively to its changing surroundings and supports the functionality of the building all year round.
Patterned glass – privacy without giving up light
The Pilkington IGP presentation was rounded out by a wide range of patterned glass. Thanks to its varied designs and textures, it reduces visibility while retaining access to daylight.
Patterned glass is used in rooms where daylight needs to be combined with greater discretion. It can be applied in residential spaces as well as in offices and commercial interiors. Besides its practical function, it also plays a decorative role, becoming part of the interior design.
“The WinDoGlass Innovation fair was an exceptional opportunity for us to combine the brand's jubilee with a presentation of solutions that answer the current needs of users and designers. Two hundred years of experience is a commitment, but above all it gives a solid foundation for further development. At the event we showed that glass can actively shape the comfort of interiors – regulating access to light, supporting privacy and influencing the conditions inside rooms,” says Ewelina Wójcicka, marketing communications manager at Pilkington IGP.
The Pilkington brand jubilee and the presentation of solutions from the Pilkington IGP range underlined the importance of modern glass technologies in designing comfortable and functional interiors. The WinDoGlass Innovation fair became a space for discussing how glazing can help users manage light and temperature more effectively, and respond to the changing requirements of contemporary construction.
