Property Design Awards — awards for the best spaces and projects

The Property Design Awards is a competition that has become a permanent fixture in the 4 Design Days calendar and one of the more important awards in Poland's commercial architecture and interiors market. Organised by the propertydesign.pl portal (the PTWP Group), it rewards the best commercial and public projects completed in the previous year.

Property Design Awards — awards for the best spaces and projects

What the PDA are and how judging works

Its distinguishing feature is a two-stage formula. From the submitted entries, a panel selects a final five nominations in each category, and the winners are decided jointly by the readers of the Propertydesign.pl and Propertynews.pl portals together with the Jury. The competition covers two tracks — building architecture and interior design — with categories corresponding to project types (residential, public, offices, hotels, public space, interiors).

The 2025 winners

The winners were announced during a gala at 4 Design Days on 23 January 2025. Statuettes went to, among others: Fuzja in Łódź (Medusa Group, Archicom) — multi-family residential building; dom_619 (MAŁECCY Biuro Projektowe); the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw (Thomas Phifer and Partners, with APA Wojciechowski as local partner) — public building; Gdynia Waterfront II (JEMS Architekci, Vastint) — office building; the Mercure Szczyrk Resort hotel; the redevelopment of Plac Wolności (Freedom Square) in Łódź (mamArchitekci and A2P2). In the interiors categories, winners included the Pedet food hall in the Renoma building (3XA), the NewBikeDay showroom (mode:lina), Hotel Glar (Noke Architects) and the Palace of the Republic in Warsaw (Konior Studio). Special editorial awards went to Kengo Kuma and Winy Maas (MVRDV).

What it means for the commercial market

The PDA bring together architecture, design and the investor in a single verdict. For developers and manufacturers it is an award of high marketing value — decided with the participation of readers and presented at the largest industry event of the year. The recurrence of the best projects across different competitions (Fuzja, Plac Wolności and Renoma also appear at the SARP awards and MIPIM) shows that the market has established a group of projects regarded as exemplary.
